Ospho retraction

Thanks to all who responded with suggestions....  The Ospho I had applied to the top of my light to medium rusted steel fuel tanks is now dry, black and ready for primer.... As I mentioned, I had initially wire brushed (as best I could with limited access) and rinsed with Simple Green Extreme and plenty of water the tops and sides of the tanks.  The sides worked out fine but the tops never dried out.  Left with no real choice, I found a low profile scrub brush with a 3 foot extension to reach all parts of the top of the tank (that only has a few inches of clearance above).  More Simple Green Extreme, some scrubbing and plenty of water and 24 hours of warm vented engine room and all is dry and ready to paint,
I am assuming the previous owner must have sprayed oil or some other substance on the top of the tanks try to stop rust.  Apparently my attempt to clean it the first time (before Ospho) did not work.  The second cleaning with a better brush and more Simple Green got it off.
Feeling a little embarrassed that I accidently slandered Ospho.

Hey Jim, it's too bad about the Ospho "slander."  If I am going to slander
anybody, I usually pick Rudy.  It's far safer to say just about anything you
want say about him.  If in doubt about just about anything he says, just let
fly at him abusing his thought processes and even his purported experiences
to back up his crazy claims about anchoring, etc.  Just don't do it in front
of Jill or you may have a little trouble on your hands.  :)
