Weather:
Wind shift from North to the South 10-11 hour and this created an onshore
breeze of less than 4 mph and the birds (mostly TVs and SSs used the
northerly route to migrate on. Barometer was steady 30.40 in Hg and
temperature ranged from 13.5C to 18.3 C.
Raptor Observations:
Mostly vultures and sharpies but they moved north and difficult to see
without constant scanning to pick them up.
Non-raptor Observations:
Approximately 25,000 Blue Jays. Catbird, red-breasted Nuthatch, Bluebird,
Goldfinch (most abundant), tree swallow, downey woodpecker, several small
groups of red-wings, usual ducks, swans, and coots,.
