Protempis, a GNSS chip company appears to have a multiple constellation GNSS receiver for the Timing market, that is Pin-compatible.
I have not looked at detailed pricing.

Has anyone attempted this “Brain Surgery” swap on the Trimble carrier board ?
It would require Hot Air handpiece and Surface Mount skills.

Is <7us holdover a drop in replacement for the Trimble part? More to the point, does software require adjustments to completely ignore the module during holdover with such awful performance limits?

Hi
On a GPSDO (any GPSDO), once the unit is in holdover, the GPS / GNSS module is out
of the control loop. If it was back in the control loop, that’s the definition of “out of holdover”.
