I am happy to introduce to you another new member of the listserv ,Yu Yusen ( yuyusen@outlook.commailto:yuyusen@outlook.com ) who has provided the following self- introduction:
YU Yusen has been a doctoral candidate in Heidelberg University since 2014. His PhD thesis works on the Persianate reception of Chinese arts in Timurid/Turkmen period (late 14-15th centuries). He obtained his BA in History from Sun Yat-Sen University in China, and subsequently his MA in Islamic art history at SOAS, London. In 2013 and 2014, he studied Persian history in the University of Tehran, Iran. His areas of interest spans the fields of Islamic and Chinese studies, including cultural and art history of Islamicate Central Asia, Afghanistan, Iran, and Northern India; Chinese art, particularly its reception at and beyond the borders of China; Sino-Islamic encounters; and the Silk Road.
