While we're at it: use a tight grid of diode

N6BV of Force 12 fame wrote a book that devoted a chapter to light bulb
antennas. There is a contest on the air for light bulb antennas. I can't
remember the title, but I think it had "light" in the title. I have it on
PDF, but I can't find it,
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

While we're at it: use a tight grid of diode
lasers and see if they'll
injection
lock together- if they do, it will be an
phased array- in short, a
(nearly) monochromatic (and rather expensive)
flashlight!

Dave, et al,
The book is "Array of Light" by Tom Schiller, N6BT. I have a copy.
It's a good book...really disorganized, but a lot of good notes, tips,
designs, and anecdotes.
His motivation is the thesis "Everything works [as an antenna]." This
is certainly quite true at HF, probably less true at higher
frequencies, but it's all about closing the link budget.
