Subject: Cummins 300hp
Hello list
I have recently(a year ago) purchased a 46' trawler equipped with =
twin 300hp Cummins engines.
I hesitate to run the Engines at any rpm over about 1800 even taking =
into consideration the fact that the governors are set at 3200 rpm.(Yes =
I just had to go that high just once to see where they were).
If anyone on this list has any experience with these motors I would love =
to here from them. The Motors are late 60s Vintage.
Thanks

Those engines are real work horses.
What is the top load RPM, you may need bigger props.
