I just received word that Corwin (WB8UPM) died on Sept 6, at age 77. I certainly remember Corwin's famous tower west of Ann Arbor; I climbed it at least half a dozen times (loosely circa 1980) to do antenna work. Corwin was a stalwart member of the ARROW (Amateur Radio Repeater Of Washtenaw) club based in Ann Arbor. There is a lengthy article about him on the ARROW website at W8RP.org. Note that W8RP was the same Roy Purchase that was mentioned in recent emails on LWTG; Roy was the owner and proprietor of Purchase Radio in Ann Arbor. Dana
