Just passing along the news that the Peregrine Falcons nesting on the Traveler's Tower in Hartford have laid their first egg of the year.

Thanks for the news!  I've been checking the webcam regularly and was
despairing if they would nest this year.  I keep it tuned to the nest pretty
much every day each spring so my middle school students can watch the
progression.  I'm trying to turn out the next generation of birders!

Thanks Roy - I'm glad to see they're back - I don't think they were
there last year?  Folks might want to click on the two "Falcon Cam"
buttons on the top of the page at http://falconcam.travelers.com/news.html
Though the text on the site doesn't seem to have been changed or
updated yet, the cameras seem to be current - one egg all right!

They were there last year -- DEP banded three chicks.  I had my students
watching them pretty much every day -- the students got an appreciation for
how patient the parents must be!
