Note: Besides the list below, there were lots of "common" birds we all
have been waiting for.

From  Dan Rottino and Family:
05/04/14 - East Hampton, Hurd State Park -- 8:15 AM; 2 HOODED WARBLER
on the trail very close to the parking lot on rte 151.
Portland, fairgrounds pull off east side of pavilion -- 8:55 AM; 1
SOLITARY SANDPIPER feeding in the flooded grassy area by the marsh.

05/04/14 - Fairfield, Birdcraft -- HOODED WARBLER (banded).

From Paul Desjardins:
05/04/14 - Windsor, along the Farmington River in the center of town
-- morning; Blackburnian Warbler, 2 Rusty Blackbirds.

From Patrick Comins:
05/04/14 - Wethersfield, Great Meadows -- 13 Solitary Sandpipers.
East Hartford, Cabela's -- At least one Eastern Meadowlark.  2 Rusty
Blackbirds along the road if you go straight instead of curving right
coming in from the Old Wethersfield entrance (which appears to be the
only way in or out right now (we didn't check the Elm Street entrance
though).

05/04/14 - North Granby, JG Property (Private Access) -- 7:55 AM to
9:40 AM; 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 1 Rusty Blackbird.
Granby, Holcomb Farm -- 9:55 AM to 11:20 AM; 2 Black Vulture, 1 Common
Raven.

05/04/14 - Bethlehem -- 1 Hooded Warbler.

05/04/14 - Norwalk -- ORCHARD ORIOLE.

05/04/14 - East Granby, Land Trust Bird Walk -- Several Rusty
Blackbirds displaying and calling at the marsh.

05/04/14 - Durham, Durham Meadows, White's Farm -- BOBOLINKS have
returned.

05/04/14 - Stamford, osa Hartman Park -- RED HEADED WOODPECKER, HOODED
WARBLER.

05/04/14 - Easton, Aspetuck Reservoir -- 2 Solitary Sandpipers in
north part of reservoir near bridge. Seen at 6:30 PM.

05/04/14 - Stratford, McKinney wildlife refuge, Warehouse pond -- 9:00
AM; Orchard Oriole.
