05/19/14 - Meriden, neighborhood -- AM; n a quick listen I heard
Tennessee Warbler and either a Bay-breasted Warbler or Cape May
Warbler.

05/19/14 - Waterford, Harkness SP -- a nice orange-billed first
spring male KING EIDER with a flock of about 20 Common Eider off the
point, scope required. (The eider flocks here move around a lot and
spend some time around the mouth of the Thames River too for anyone
who can't find it here.)

05/19/14 - Westport, Sherwood Island State Park -- Clay-colored
Sparrow near the small "authorized vehicle parking" area just after
gate houses,doing it's distinctive buzzing songs. First time I have
seen and heard them at this time if year in CT. Have seen and heard
them at the Cape in early July.

BLACK SCOTER (1M with bright orange on bill, 4F). 46 COMMON EIDER.

05/19/14 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- A nice male Bay-breasted
Warbler was seen on Willard's Island around 8:30 AM. The warbler was
on the right hand trail in the cedars.

05/18/14 - Kent, Carter Road -- Brewster's Warbler (a hybrid). This
individual, which most closely resembles a female Blue-winged Warbler,
was singing "on territory" on the north side of the road, immediately
east of the bridge over Kent Falls Brook. This has been a good
location for Acadian Flycatcher, which was not there--or, not yet.
