THIS WEEK IN TRI CLUB (MAY 31-JUNE 5)!
We had a great weekend reaching double digits in attendance with both
Saturday's long ride and our Monday Blue Marsh outing! Let's keep the
momentum going... Plan a Gators workout into your week! We also have a
sponsor event on Sunday, the Scoogie Events "Dairy Air Run Fest" including
the "Hay You Kids' Run" taking place at Delaware Valley University in
Doylestown; the Dairy Air includes 5K, 10K, and half marathon distance
options!
Weekend Successes: We had a light holiday weekend of racing, but both of
our athletes that did race had significant achievements...
• BACK IN ACTION and PODIUM!: Congrats to Sheri Kuss for both returning to
action after recovering from an injury and also for placing 2nd in her age
group at the Crest Best Swim Fest 1 mi OWS!
• MARATHON PR!: Congrats to Brian Kozera for achieving a new PR at the
Vermont City Marathon!

Weekly Workouts: All of the following take place over the next 6 days
(reminder #1: Monday and Wednesday evening swims now start and end 5
minutes later than they have in the past so 7:05pm start time and 8:05pm
end time; reminder #2: Tuesday and Thursday evening bike rides now begin at
6:30pm; this will last through July)...
• Tuesday 5/31, 10:15am-11:15am, Spring Valley YMCA Indoor Lap Pool (lanes
5-6): Swim workout coached by Don Schlichtmann
• Tuesday 5/31, 6:30pm-8pm, Reynold's Dog Park/SRT: Cycling Workout -
Intervals coached by Ginny Angus. Please plan to arrive early enough to be
ready for a prompt 6:30pm departure; if you arrive late you can meet us at
our intervals location between the SRT's Pawlings Rd. trailhead and the
Betzwood Trailhead.
• Wednesday 6/1, 7:05pm-8:05pm, Spring Valley YMCA Indoor Lap Pool (4
lanes): Swim workout. Coaching status is currently TBD; plan for an
"uncoached group workout" and we will update this post if a coach is able
to cover.
• Thursday 6/2, 10:15am-11:15am, Spring Valley YMCA Indoor Lap Pool (lanes
5-6): Uncoached group swim workout
• Thursday 6/2, 6:30pm-8pm, Reynold's Dog Park/SRT: Cycling Workout - Out
and Back. Coaching status is currently TBD; plan for an "uncoached group
workout" and we will update this post if a coach is able to cover.
• Saturday 6/4 and/or Sunday 6/5: Long rides (4-6 hours) are in the plans
just about every weekend for our long course training athletes. Please post
a comment if you are interested in participating and are not already in the
loop and we'll get you the details.
• Sunday 6/5, 11:15am-12:15pm, Spring Valley YMCA, Indoor Lap Pool (lanes
3-6): Uncoached group swim workout
