Similar to yesterday, the birding has been slow but steady, with a few rare
birds reported. At least 13 species of warblers have been seen so far
today.
At the Tip, the most exciting sighting was a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE and a
WILLET. There were also 5 species of Gull reported.
PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS are still showing at Woodland Nature Trail and Tilden
Woods as well as a number of SCARLET TANAGERS, BALTIMORE ORIOLES, and
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS.
Other miscellaneous sightings around the park include a SUMMER TANAGER,
CLAY-COLOURED SPARROW and at least one continuing YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT.
We are enjoying the nice sunny weather while it lasts as we are expecting
rain tomorrow!
