CFE's post reminded me to check the West Marine Catalogue---nope they don't
stock the old alarm bells, which one used to always hear just before the
engine fired:  http://www.aqualarm.net/

However they still make them!  Bilge pump counter, high water alarms, exhaust
overheat alarms, water flow alarms, engine over heat, fire etc...just don't
hear many of those bells anymore.....

I just mounted a WEST high water alarm where I could hear it and epoxied the
float switch to the top of my mid-ship bilge pump figuring if the water goes
over the top I should know about it. As you guys know, I'm not a big fan of
the "20 minute engine room checks".

                                      Regards....
