Getting Tomcat running

Hi,

I’ve managed to install CollectionSpace, but I do not think things are correct. In fact, tomcat is not starting with errors like:

Nov 03, 2016 10:49:43 AM org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina load
WARNING: Catalina.start using conf/server.xml: Content is not allowed in prolog.
Nov 03, 2016 10:49:43 AM org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina start
SEVERE: Cannot start server. Server instance is not configured.

I think my issue is that I have either missed something or the installation notes are wrong. I was working from this: https://wiki.collectionspace.org/display/DOC/Installing+on+Yum+Compatible+Linux+Distributions https://wiki.collectionspace.org/display/DOC/Installing+on+Yum+Compatible+Linux+Distributions

I do not know Tomcat well, but one thing I am confused about is how the source I built in collectionspace-source got deployed into the tomcat webapps. I see both collectionspace and cspace-ui there, but I have not done any configuring of tomcat. Perhaps that is all I am missing, is some basic instruction on how to configure tomcat. Given that the documentation didn’t mention that, I guess I was assuming it was ready. But maybe I need to do more to get it working and then collection space will work.

Anyway, if anyone has any advice on how to start or resolve this, I would appreciate it.

Regards,
Darcy

I’ve resolved this. It was a mistake on my end.
