11/15-Red head duck continues at The big pond at Avon Fisher meadows, with a small mixed flotilla. At 12:30 PM he was sleeping for about an hour but clearly identifiable, then he woke up and paddled with the Hooded Mergansers and Ruddy Ducks. Birders who came to look with just binoculars seemed frustrated and left, but it was quite clear in a 40 X power spotting scope. Susanne Shrader West Hartford
