The problem is actually you being logged in at google. As soon as i log out, i see the calendar. When i log in at google and reload the page, the calendar is gone again.

A search on Google reports many issues with Safari and Google calendar.

agree with you and I will do it as soon as the conference is close
enough that I won't have to do it 10 times. For now, the google
calendar will do the job fine :-)
