What a great way to start Boxing Day, with a café au lait in hand, browsing through the blog of Diesel Duck and her travels the last year.

Thanks, Benno and Marlene, for staying in touch! That afternoon in Whitby when we sort of christened your pride and joy seems so long ago, yet the memory remains as fresh as yesterday.

During our travel since the fall of 2005, which took us from Toronto, Canada, to the Caribbean island chain and up and down the islands a few times, further on to Panama and circling the South American continent, we had the pleasure of meeting a few long range trawlers.? For some of the yachts we have boat cards and we listed their names and sometimes the location where we met, below.
Starting the count with Diesel Ducks:-)
2 Diesel Ducks:
?MV Peking - DD462, in Curacao and Panama
MV Northern Lights IV - DD48, in Florida and Panama
1 Cape Horn 63:
MV Two by Sea, in Panama
1 DeFever 49:
MV Sojourn
2 Flemings 55:
MV Changes of Attitudes, in? Bahamas, Grenada, Venezuela and Panama
MV Time is Short, in Bahamas
4 Krogen 48:
MV Coral Bay
MV Dream Weaver, Grenada, Venezuela,
MV Take Time
MV Tusen Takk II, in Virgin Islands, The Saints and Curacao,
3 Nordhavn 40:
?MV Slow Dancin, in Panama
MV Limerick, in Panama
6 Nordhavn 46:
MV Jenny, in Panama
MV Kanaloa, in Panama
1 Nordhavn 47:
MV Serena Ray, in Panama
1 Nordhavn 50:
MV Phantom????????????
1 Nordhavn 55:

You can draw your own conclusion.? Myself, I am advocating the Diesel Ducks as one of the best safe and fuel efficient long range trawlers on the market. ?
Best Regards from Benno & Marlene on Diesel Duck, presently under anchor in Chub Cay, Bahamas
