Quote: That's a great list of "no mores". I wonder if there are any
[free docking spots] left in
Florida or on the East Coast????  A list of what's left might be good.
I'm
thinking there might be one on the western Okeechobee, but not sure.

Reply: Yes, there are more free docks available. The dock behind our
home on the ICW in Treasure Island FL (just South of Clearwater at the
Johns Pass inlet from the Gulf) can accomodate a 45-foot boat with 30-
amp service and filtered water. We make it available to fellow
cruisers on their way North or South. Location and details can be
found on Active Captain.

I've often wondered why someone hasn't created a database of other
waterfront homeowners willing to share dockage for a few days use.
It's a nice way to help others and meet some really swell people.

Both MTOA and AGLCA maintain a Harbor Host list of folks offering some type
of hospitality whether free dock, shore access, club access, local transport
and shopping.

trawlersandtrawlering.com has a Circle of Friends.

I have been on all the lists for several years and have had only a handful
of calls in the Miami area. *

Maybe folks are independent or do know know of these lists,
