Re: Raymarine Email Address

Hi Ron,

I'm sorry I can't help with this, but thought I'd share that, sadly, efforts
to reach marine (and other) manufacturers via email have proven discouraging.
Instead, I call and tell the receptionist where I'm calling from and ask not
to be put into voice mail.

The downside is that my experience with Raymarine tech support parallels that
with Xantrex: courteous, experienced and helpful folks, but too few of them.
This can be extremely costly on a satphone, and cannot be circumvented with
automated answering. The hold times for Raymarine, IME, have been among the
worst I've ever experienced; so much so that I'll not purchase their products
again.

A friend in the Caribbean needs an email address for Raymarine Technical
Support. I went to their site and could find nothing, not even an 800
number. His radar manual only has old Raytheon data. The website does have
an internal mail option, but he can't use that via Sailmail.

Hi Ron,

Sorry all... it took me a while to find this.  Not sure if it still works or
will be helpful, but 2 years ago I contacted Raymarine customer help and
received a response from the following email addrss:

raymarine@custhelp.com

Worth a shot.

Raymarine has a tech support site at
http://raymarine.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/raymarine.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php?
That lets you communicate with their tech support staff.  Not sure how well
it works, but it is a link to them.

Good luck,

Bob Lowe
