The Grand Cinema's annual 72 hour film competition kicked off last night
when filmmakers were given 72 hours to create short films that last 253
seconds and contain four quirky criteria (a children's toy, the line of
dialogue "I'm not saying yours isn't good," time travel, and something
written in a foreign language).
Filmmakers are offering the community an inside look behind their creative
process on Twitter and Facebook with posts using the searchable hashtag,
#253seconds. All films created in this contest will be premiered on Friday,
May 15th at the 253-Second Short Film Viewing Party
http://www.grandcinema.com/events/253-second-short-film-viewing-party/ ,
Pierce County's biggest film event of the year.
The viewing party gathers people together to celebrate local filmmaking with
audience choice voting, a photo booth, giveaways, local pizza and more.
Support local film art and be the first to watch the premiere of these
one-of-a-kind short films.
Friday, May 15th at 7:00 PM
Presented by The Grand Cinema at Urban Grace in downtown Tacoma
