Today I was able to see the Hawk Owl during a break from banding hawks. A very interesting place for such an amazing bird. Next week I'll be heading over to Peru in hopes of banding that Owl (was not back at school in time for the Potsdam banding). Also saw about 300 Snow Buntings, a handful of Common Redpolls and a few White-winged Crossbill's. CT birding is fun, but having all these guys in the backyard is great.
Good birding,
Shaun Martin
