Nathan Hood has just alerted the community that a Tufted Duck was reported at Cataraqui Bay, Kingston, on 31st Dec. Originally identified as a Lesser Scaup, a photo can be found on this checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S99764020. I have no further details at this time but will update if/when I hear more. One of the better viewing locations is here: 44.218683, -76.538750, just behind Trailhead Place. Another spot is located on the other side of the bay by the Invista plant on Sand Bay Road: 44.215934, -76.549291. This is an active site so please do not block the road or try to enter the plant.
