After successfully seeing the Spotted Towhee in Blair (Thanks, Bill) I decided to try my luck at the Gannett off Pier 26 in Hamilton. No such luck. However, swimming in with the Mallards and Scaup was a pair of Harlequin Ducks, both a male and female. After about 20 minutes of swimming within 100 feet of me they flew slightly to the north between the two rock islands still within scope distance. An immature Hooded Merganser was also in the mix.
