We lived aboard Letitia and cruised fulltime for 20 months starting January
2004
We started from Slidell, La, spent a summer on the Chesapeake and winter in
Wilmington, NC and then continued the loop up the east coast, through the
Trent-Severn, and then down the normal route to Pickwick Lake at the top of
the Tenn-Tom where Letitia spent the winter.
We spun for 5 months and then started off again - in a different direction.
After 'walking the dog'(surely you remember all those old tricks with that
white and green striped Duncan?) for 800 miles on the Tennessee we have felt
the snap and have started spinning back up the string.
We'll head back up the Mississippi in about a week and then up the Illinois
to Lake Michigan.
Right now the plan is to find heated winter storage this winter in Michigan
and drift east over the next couple of summers.
I guess to be true to the analogy, we will have turn around and head back
down toward Mobile again but twice on the Mississippi may turn out to be
more than I want. :-)
See you on the loop (or the YOYO depending...)
