Wesley:
Thanks. What kind of stove do you have? And what kind of
microwave/convection? My idea was to eliminate the oven part of the
Princess stove and replace it with the convection oven on the overhead
thus giving me cabinets under the stove - is this equipment choice a
reasonable approach do you think? What about broiling? What would I miss
the oven for?
Appreciate your thoughts.

Ron:

Perfectly happy with the performance of our electric stove and
convection/microwave.  Hate the background noise from the generator but
we
need to run same for a couple of hours a day to keep icebox chilled.  By
coordinating functions - running genset when cooking in morning and
evening

  • the situation is liveable.  If I were desigining the boat, silence
    would
be one objective and gas would be seriously considered.  On a larger
    vessel
with a smaller genset, noise control might be less of an issue.  Our
    boat is
37' and genset is diesel 7.5 Kw.

Good luck
