From Greg Hanisek

10/20/08 New Haven, Lightouse Point hawk watch - 160 raptors on moderate N winds and daunting cloudless skies. I arrived late today but gathered the following from Bill Banks, Janet Mehmel, Frank Mantlik and others: 1300 PINE SISKINS, 1200 RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS, 900 AMERICAN ROBINS, 800 TREE SWALLOWS, 1 E. MEADOWLARK plus flyby totals of 45 C. LOONS and 2 R-T LOONS.
In the garden meadow the recently reported DICKCISSEL and CLAY-COLORED SPARROW continued. High hawks species was Sharp-shinned at 74; also 6 Bald Eagles as season count continues to climb.

Also helping were Dana Campbell, Kris Johnson, Randy Domina, Richard English, Steve Spector, Marty Moore and Don Morgan
