Height Above Sea Level

A convenient tool for assessing heights above sea level is

http://www.earthtools.org/

I've been using it for waterfront lot locations, but it could also be valuable
for seeking out hurricane holes.

It will take a few minutes to figure out how to use, but is easy after a few
tries. Rob Brueckner

Last week  Rob Brueckner accidentally mis -addressed a private post to the
list.
He apologized as soon as he realized his mistake and offered the explanation
that he really needed a better way to organize his email system. Looks like
Fat Finger Freddy strikes again!

Rob uses a"hotmail" address so in all likelihood he may also be using MSN
for emails.  I can really symphatize because I had to use MSN at one job I
worked at.  For whatever reason the IT department either could not or would
not fix it so I could use Outlook on the terminal assigned to me. MSN and
Hotmail  uses tiny  little fonts and a restrictive little text box screen
for emails.  I never found out how to change that.

Its my guess Rob has a vision issue  same as me. I don't know how many times
I end up clicking on the wrong spot with my mouse cursor when  tiny high
resolution screens are in use.  If Rob uses cyber cafes for his email he may
not have the option of changing settings even if this was possible.  .

Rather than condemn poor Rob and ban  him from the list  could someone  with
the necessary technical savy help Rob  organize his email addressing issues
and perhaps suggest a better system  to prevent future mis addressing  of
posts.

My big beef with computer programmers  is their total disregard for the
needs of an ageing population  with growing vision  and shortening  memory
spans. Having to memorize a sequence of keystrokes to get the darn 'puter to
work  was easy at age 20  but at age 70 its a real chore.  <VBG>

cheers
