I have just finished a major interior remodeling effort where I had a lot of
new and old teak veneer to refinish.  I don't know what thickness your teak
my be on your plywood cabin sole may be, but if it is as thin as my veneer,
I'd advise great care, lest you sand through the probably very thin surface
into the less attractive substrate material.  Even sanding through the old
finish to bare teak is problematic because those spots tend to darken when
refinished and do not match the surrounding teak.  I have thick teak parquet
decking in the cabin, and I just belt-sanded off the old varnish followed by
hours of orbital sanding.  Then I got some fast drying polyurethane
semi-gloss and mixed in a small amount of turpentine to slow the dry a
little while allowing it to flow on more smoothly.  I can get a couple of
coats a day down that way.  Looks exceedingly fine, if I do say so myself!

There is an object attached to my fuel line that I am
trying to figure out what is and what it does. It is
wired, so has electric going to it. I think it might
be an electric fuel pump of some sort. The strange
thing is though, it is on the line that goes to the
generator, after the split for main fuel delivery,
after the filter system. Is this typical?

Appears to be a very small metallic "box" shaped.  Any
ideas??

I put a pump on mine when the pump on the genny went bad. Mine was also a
small metal brick. You should feel it vibrate slowly when your Gen runs.
This will also work as a emergency pump on your main.
