I think there was a thread late last years about upgrading the M12 and Furuno GPS modular with the Jackson Labs or Synergy UBLOX based module. Has anyone actually installed and tested these options? Were they plug-and-play or require modifications? FIW, I upgraded an HP Z3805A with a Synergy SSR-VP1 unit and it works perfectly as a drop-in replacement. Hi Andrew; Thanks, Currently those have a 20++ week lead time. I think the Synergy M12 replacement is a bit less. I will order the Jackson labs M12 replacement as well to try. I will post a detailed report when I have tested in various instruments..
