Help! As we complete the final week of our "Thrive in 2025 Challenge" for
January, it's time for us to Come Together for a roll call for our February
challenge, which is called "The Feb Four Challenge"!
Who's in? I Should Have Known Better... Guess you want to know more?
Why is it called the "Feb Four Challenge"? That has to do with the fact
that February is exactly four fabulous weeks. Read on to learn more...
The overall goal is consistency. The objective for the month is to obtain
28 points in 28 days, but... here's the consistency part... there is
also a WEEKLY
objective to earn 6 points for each of the "Feb Four" weeks (and keep in
mind that there are NOT Eight Days a Week)!
How are points earned? There are three ways to earn a point...
- Complete a workout of at least 15 minutes. This is the primary point
earning option that includes swim, bike/spin, run/jog/elliptical, strength,
and/or core/flexibility/yoga workouts. The occasional 15+ minute power walk
is okay, but there is a limit of 1 of these per week.
- Attend a Gators workout (max of 5 points). This includes workouts at
the Spring Valley YMCA as well as Zwift events such as the Wednesday
evening and Saturday morning club rides and the Thursday Team Time Trial
races provide you with your Ticket to Ride.
- NEW: Complete at least four of any type of workout (max of 5 points). A
point can be earned by completing four of each of the 5 types of workouts
stated under #1. So besides consistency, we're aiming for some diversity in
your workouts to earn more bonus points. Will anyone get 5 of each type
of workout done to earn all 5 bonus points?
What do you have to do to sign up? Easy peasy... Post an "I'm in!" (or
something to that effect) comment below. We've Got a Feeling that you want
to do it!
How will this be tracked? On or shortly before Saturday, February 1 a
Messenger group will be set up that includes everyone that signs up. It
will be used to report your individual results from that day or Yesterday
and for us to motivate each other and promote successes (because we know
that All You Need Is Love). All results will be tracked on a spreadsheet
and regularly updates will be provided.
There's no plank, burpee, or other sadistic additional component to this
challenge? Nah, Let It Be, we figure the challenge itself is sadistic
enough that we'll often be asking Why My Gator Gently Weeps.
