The Invitation to Begin
Sitting before my camera for the first Masterclass session, the soft hum of
anticipation (and the butterflies in my stomach) filled the space. Beside
me was a tidy stack of notes and a steaming cup of tea—my quiet preparation
rituals.
I glanced at the empty screen where participants would soon appear, each
arriving from their own corner of the world, carrying their unique hopes
and hesitations. It struck me then: this wasn’t just about teaching but
about holding space—an invitation to step into a shared ritual of courage,
creativity, and connection.
By 'holding space ', I mean creating a supportive environment where each of
us can explore our creativity without judgment or pressure.
That’s the beauty of this work—it isn’t about grand revelations or towering
masterpieces. It’s about the small moments: the first mark on a blank page,
the soft exhale after a moment of doubt, the quiet spark of an idea finding
its shape. And perhaps most importantly, it’s about learning to show up,
over and over again, with a sense of reverence for the act itself.
The Course in Focus: How to Talk to Yourself About Your Creativity

My next offering isn’t just a course; it’s a five-part exploration into the
conversations we have with ourselves about our creative lives. How to Talk
to Yourself About Your Creativity
https://artisticclarity.thinkific.com/courses/howtotalktoyourselfaboutyourcreativity
is about creating rituals that mark the threshold between the ordinary and
the innovative, where your everyday experiences can inspire your creative
work. It's about building structures that gently hold your ideas, and
cultivating a dialogue with inspiration and self-doubt.
This course invites you to:
Build rituals that make starting your creative work easier.
Reflect deeply on your creative path and recognize its value.
Transform self-doubt into a productive dialogue.
Trust your intuition and let it guide your creative decisions.
Celebrate the process as much as the product.
A Gentle Structure to Support Your Path
The course unfolds over five thoughtfully paced weeks, each offering a new
perspective on your creative practice. For $59, you’ll receive a carefully
designed experience that meets you where you are and encourages you to move
forward.
Weekly Emails: Starting on January 10, you’ll find a new email each Friday
offering three creative exercises. These prompts are designed to meet you
in your real life—whether you have ten minutes or an hour, whether you’re
feeling inspired or hesitant. You’re invited to approach them curiously,
taking what serves you and leaving the rest.
Self-Paced Exploration with a Warm Conclusion: The beauty of this course is
in its flexibility. There are no deadlines or expectations beyond your own
willingness to show up. At the end of Week Five, we’ll gather on Zoom—a
supportive space to share reflections, ask questions, and connect with
others who’ve been on this path with you. Dates and times will follow soon.
Playful Bonuses Along the Way: Creativity thrives in an atmosphere of play.
Expect small surprises—a game here, an unexpected exercise there—to nudge
your imagination and keep the process lighthearted. Delight, after all, is
an essential ingredient in any creative practice.
Because the way we show up—whether to a blank canvas, a flickering screen,
or a rehearsal space—shapes the work.
Here’s to a year of beginnings, both brave and tender.
With warmth and clarity,
Pattie
