From Frank Mantlik, with Sunrise Birding (free) walk group,

5/13  Westbrook, Stewart McKinney NWR-Salt Meadow Preserve:  52 species, including Little Blue Heron, 10 Glossy Ibis, Cooper's Hawk. Also we had marvelous, extended views of Scarlet Tanagers, Blue-winged Warbler, Red-tailed Hawks, Pileated Woodpecker (foraging on rotted stump), Tree Swallows (copulating), Eastern Bluebirds, Cedar Waxwings (14), Brown Thrashers (3), and Baltimore Orioles.

5/13 Madison, Hammonassett SP: Afterwards, a visit netted highlights of the continuing male BOAT-TAILED GRACKLE (near Meigs Pt. picnic area), and LITTLE BLUE X TRICOLORED HERON HYBRID ('boulder' pond at Meigs Pt.)
