I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to everyone in Salida Cycling Club for the last 4 years. As of April 30, 2016 I turned over the reins of the Presidency to Eric Tauer. The BOD certainly made huge strides in refocusing the direction of the club from a race club to cycling club that was asked for by the membership. There were definitely some pains along the way but you hung with us and we are in a better place today. Facebook, Web Site, automated membership sign up and dues, new sponsors and a focus on being an inclusive Bike Club for All Riders, not just roadies. We have increased the number of group rides, mountain bike rides, women's rides and indoor training rides in the winter to name a few. Sponsorship of numerous charity events and the high school Salida Racing program are beneficiaries of all of our efforts. Perhaps the biggest accomplishment was being granted non-profit 501(c)3 status. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and I believe the club is in better shape now than 4 years ago.
