Hi everyone,

Thank you for being a part of our community and supporting youth expression, leadership, collaboration, and storytelling. We are really excited to debut a series of student-made films next week at the first ever Lincoln Film Festivalhttp://www.grandcinema.com/events/lincoln-film-festival/!

This festival celebrates the creative vision of students from Lincoln High School and First Creek Middle School.

See the premieres of eight short films, including narratives and documentaries created by high school and middle school students of Tacoma's Eastside.

You have three opportunities to enjoy the festival:

  • November 17, 7 pm at The Grand Cinema, 606 S Fawcett Ave, Tacoma
  • November 18 & 19, 7 pm at the Lincoln High School Auditorium, 701 S 37th St, Tacoma

At each screening, enjoy Q&As with our filmmakers and awards presentations. The Audience Choice award will be announced November 19.

Please come and enjoy these films and support our emerging filmmakers - they have worked really hard to bring their stories to life.

And if you have a moment, please share with your communities about this festival; all proceeds from the Festival go back to supporting educational opportunities for these and other students.

We had a nice write-up in The News Tribune today, learn more by reading it herehttp://www.thenewstribune.com/entertainment/movies-news-reviews/article113123938.html.

Thanks to all of you for your time, support, and investment in our youth. We can't wait to see what they accomplish next!

-Katy
