10/12/14 - Groton, Bluff Point -- Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Pine Siskins,
Purple Finches.

10/12/14 - Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows -- American pipits beside
the road in the second field on the left (after zig-zag) when entering
from the south.  There were many Savannah Sparrows at the turn to the
north.
Wethersfield, Wethersfield Meadows -- At the marsh on Elm St Ext there
were Savannah Sparrows with other sparrows, and one Lincoln's Sparrow
in the low branches of a maple.

10/12/14 - Columbia -- Two Black Vultures circling around the
neighborhood, landed on the neighbors roof.

10/12/14 - Wilton, Allen's Meadow Community Garden, gravel road --
VESPER SPARROW at 12:21 PM still being seen as of 12:55 PM.

10/12/14 - Madison, Hammonasset SP -- BROWN THRASHER, 2 EASTERN
MEADOWLARDS, 2 AMERICAN PIPTS, and literally hundreds of sparrows
including at least two dozen WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS (mostly, but not
all immatures).

10/12/14 - Milford, Jonathan Law School, pond -- EURASIAN WIGEON,
BROWN CREEPER.
Milford Point -- 2 YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON.
Westport, Sherwood Island State Park -- 1 NELSON'S SPARROW.

Thrush in the bushes next to the lawn.

Winchester, Laurel Way (Rosgen Wildlife Sanctuary) -- RED-BREASTED
NUTHATCH, WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, 14 PURPLE FINCH.

10/12/14 - Milford, CT Audubon Coastal Center -- 1:45 to 2:15 PM;
Winter Wren, Whited-crowned Sparrow, Lincoln's Sparrow, 2 Brown
Creepers, Yellow-crowned Night-Heron.

10/12/14 - Stratford -- about 6 PM I had a White-crowned Sparrow on
Long Beach Blvd in Stratford between the Berm next to the RR Track
Trail and the metal railing.

10/12/14 - New Haven, Lighhouse Point Park -- A great morning flight
with hundreds of birds including Purple Finch, Pine Siskin, American
Pipit heading South.  Also 1 Eastern Meadowlark.

10/12/14 - Central Village, Quinebaug  Fish Hatchery, 'Big Sit' -- 57
species. Highlights included WINTER WREN (2), PINE SISKIN (65),
TENNESSE WARBLER, BLACK VULTURE and COMMON RAVEN (2).

10/12/14 - Fairfield, Pine Creek -- 1 PECTORAL SANDPIPER, 2 COMMON
RAVEN, 1 MARSH WREN, 1 SWAINSON'S THRUSH, 2 AMERICAN PIPIT, 1
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, 3 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, 12 PINE SISKIN.

10/12/14 - Fairfield, One Rod Highway -- 1 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW.

10/12/14 - Salisbury, Lakeville, Salisbury Dog Park, off Long Pond
Road -- OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER.  Heard calling briefly around 10:15
AM; not visually located or relocated despite searching.

juvenile NORTHERN GOSHAWK, 1 SANDHILL CRANE and 2-3 Common Nighthawk.
