Hi all,
I am looking for some 5065A parts:
An original top cover.
Green lens for the Continuous operation lamp.
Multi-turn head for the Fine adjustment pot.
Preferably in Europe.
Kind regards,
Stijn Nestra
Stijn, If you look on Ebay or surplus stores for 10 turn potentiometers,
you will likely find
some with turn counters that may be the same size You might need to
question sellers
about shaft shize and diameter, after you have determined what you need.

Hi
The top and bottom covers for HP gear “of a specific generation” are all very similar. The cover for
some other HP product (from the 1970’s ….) should work on the 5065.
The light bulb cover is a generic item. Like the covers, they are not quite as common today as
they once were. Still they should be an eBay or ham fest sort of item. The same is true of the
10 turn counter for the pot.

All three of those will probably be tough to find, unfortunately. Lots of different front-back dimensions were used in HP instruments of that era (and the next one).
An 8640A/B top cover would likely fit, and those are common enough... but they have no vent holes, which would be asking for trouble on the 5065A.
Same with the Bourns knobpot dial. I've never seen that particular style used elsewhere besides the 5061/5065 standards. Unless you're curating a museum, I'd think a normal 10-turn knob would work fine.
The green lenses were used on the 5061A so they may be easier to come by. Still, I'd expect to have to resort to eBay for those.
