Some additional notes on the blackbird:
Annette Cunniffe spotted the bird when it showed up at 4:23 in a tree in back of
the last house on the right on Chester St.  It flew from tree to tree, occasionally
feeding on the ground at the back yard feeders of the houses which abut Chester
St. houses.  It provided excellent viewing for all the observers.
The bird was seen off and on for about 20-30 minutes before flying in the direction
of the marsh.
A truly handsome bird, and well worth the wait.
