Haven't seen much discussion about this topic on the list so thought I'd
share a site that gets good marks for the helpfulness of the info.
Bob423 is doing a great service for anyone navigating the ICW (and other
areas) where shoaling is a problem. His web site contains his routes and
tracks in GPX format and a good explanation about how to download them
and incorporate the routes and tracks into your navigation software.
Here's a link to his site:

Personally, I used his track on our last trip up and down the ICW to get
around the problem spot just south of Fernandino Beach, Florida at ATONs
18 and 18A. Although we'd been through this spot dozens of times over
the years, I never felt comfortable as reality was a far stretch from
the charts and had to feel our way along. The track Bob423 laid out made
life much less stressful!

I have been following Bob Sherer’s tracks and updates for a couple of years on my AquaMaps app/platform (which I highly recommend for a variety of reasons). Initially I downloaded all of Bob’s routes and re-named them to work for me. Example, I now have route names such as:
AICW SM583-SM536: Thunderbolt Marina to Beaufort, SC.
Did the same for GICW and Lake O.
I prefer more specificity to the route name. Then when Bob recommends a route adjustment, rather than downloading his route again, I look at where he recommends a route change, I open up my corresponding route, and make the change. Typically, Bob makes a recommendation to change after he experiences the new route or the USACE soundings reflect a deeper area via recent dredging. One of the many benefits of the AquaMaps app is the regular updates of USACE soundings. Bob’s routes have never failed me.

Adding to Bob's post about Bob 423 routes, I had listened in on one of his
Zoom talks. He described his tracks as stable over many years, some more
than 5 years. This is most likely due to following the waterway's natural
faster current., thus keeping that portion of the waterway from silting in.
Since they are fairly stable, they are fairly dependable, as to benefit the
Army Corp of Engineers, less in need of dredging. If I remember correctly,
CoE are taking note of these tracks and incorporating them into their
dredging and routing plans. On the other hand, as we study Bob 423 routes,
we still find most of the 'older' routes still deep enough for our 4.75
foot draft.
