Carolina wren feeding baby cowbird

Watching my backyard Carolina Wren trying to feed a very hungry and fluttery baby cowbird (I presume,) seemingly twice the wren's size.  Probably no baby wrens in that brood.

I just had a similar experience with a Cardinal at the bird feeder.  Feeding.....a single Cowbird. Ugh

Last week I was walking the wooded trails behind the Old Bethany Airport.  A  female BH Cowbird flushed from a very close patch of wood ferns.  Although too cautious to tramp in and investigate, I assume it was parasitizing an Ovenbird nest.
