Greetings,
Anyone have more info on the E-Loran tests in progress? Which station is master, power levels, coding delay, etc? I am trying to receive using my Austron 2100F, I think maybe it doesn’t like the additional added data. Worked well on the old system.
Jeff H.

Jeff no further details. I did ask about power levels and no response.
With respect to the austron 2100f, 2100, and srs fe700 thay had no issue
with the new data when they were testing on the east coast. Its possible
something has changed. But a fellow time-nut in Indiana received and locked
at night by skywave some 1000 miles away.
He could not hearth signal by listening. But the 2100f locked through the
night.

Paul

Legacy Loran-C receivers will work just fine receiving e-Loran (LFPhoenix) signals , providing the on air testing is of a GRI that is hard coded into your 1970 Austron 2100F. The additional data will not affect a Loran-C receiver. I have locked on using my Austron 2000C-1, no problem.
Maybe consider contacting Ursa Navigation and buying one of their state of the art 2023 receivers.
Kind regards,
John

John great to hear.
The 2100f does not have a hard coded GRI. Its entered on the front panel on
the unit at start up.
At least thats the way my unit works. I also have a 2100 that operates the
same and with humor I think you and I are the only ones with a 2000. Though
its no longer racked.
