About Kris:

Kris Vermeer is an internationally known visual artist who lives in Tacoma,
WA. Her love of ancient cultures and petroglyphs has been integrated in her
creations since 1985. Her work is collected by several Nobel Prize winners,
David Attenborough, and can be found in permanent displays in public areas
like Point Ruston, Las Vegas Airport, Emerald Queen Casino as well as
private collections. Kris is a self-taught artist who works in a variety of
mediums from fused glass, metals, to acrylic paintings that incorporate
sand and she designs and builds steel sculptures. Kris enjoys being a
mentor and has been an artist in residence for Tacoma Schools since 2012
teaching classes to children and adults through the Arts Impact program.

Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital is excited to combine several of our
passions: the Arts, community, and youth development.

Since Dr. Natalie Warren opened the doors of Met Vet she has demonstrated
her commitment to the local Arts community through thoughtfully curated
shows.
