Glad I provided you the impetus to check. Imagine if you needed one and
hadn't known. Aren't you glad that you carry a US Passports? Do the same
exercise if you were from Tunisia or Australia or Argentina or Venezuela and
include the US in you cruising plans.

You'll find the requirements less than easy to meet...don't forget you are
always looking for entry by sea in a private yacht. Not entry by a common
carrier when researching the requirements. Often this is not as easy to
obtain or may even be impossible via the internet or even a call to the
countries Embassy.
More often or not the information is in some immigration officials head who
sits in a small non air-conditioned office waiting weeks for some yachtie to
come by looking for them to clear them in. Might as well have some fun with
them to break up the boredom :-)

We're not talking big well lit AC nice desks, clean suits, etc offices here
;-) Time was when a bottle of rum was the entry fee. No more as the
governments have found it to be a source of revenue from your pocket to
theirs.
