<!-- DIV {margin:0px;} -->Beautiful night on the Hudson for our first 2020 Wednesday Series race. Good breeze out of NW, a few clouds, ebbing tide, and warm (but not too). Eight boats racing. Your faithful correspondent and scorer had fouled on a winter stick and can only report on the race second-hand. The RC set course 18 (to A mark/B mark and the to Red 8), so last week's practice finding the new locations for "A" and "B" in 2020 paid off.
As a reminder, all boats racing with PHRF should race in the Spinnaker Division or the Non-Spinnaker Division. The SIs provide for three starts -- those two division plus an Open (non-PHRF) start for one design sailors (or others) who want to race with no handicap. It appears there were no Open (non-PHRF) racers last night, as the Sonar racing may have a valid PHRF (and was scored based on Sonar 447 Non-Spin PHRF per HRYRA list).
The RC last night also used rolling starts; so, watch those signal flags.
