I have looked at the archives but not found a real consensus. Our use would be for one year in the PNW (Seattle / Alaska) and then to Mexico and warmer climates. What bottom paint would you recommend?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

When in the Med where stuff really grows fast we used Micron 66. It was OK, but had to repaint every year. In Trinidad we used Seahawk 44, which was OK, but not great. Our last bottom paint was in Guaymas, Mexico; however, we only spent a month in Mexico before heading north to Seattle. We used Ameron ABC #3. It is working great so far. Ameron is available in Seattle at Seattle Marine and Fishing Supply. Apparently, it is popular with commercial fisherman. I plan to use it on my next bottom job. All our paints have been ablatives.

Like Dennis, we used Seahawk 44 and we've been pleased with it, better than
the Awlgrip that we had first used. We've cruised in warm waters since
Trinidad. So far, so good.

Had Ameron ABC #3 applied in the Pacific 08/20009 and have just antifouled
in Cairns, Australia 06/2011. It was still doing its job. I think a boat
needs hauling every 12 months so many say why apply an expensive paint that
lasts longer?
