Press Release
Pip & Lola’s Everything Homemade passes the 50 vendor mark
Pip & Lola’s Everything Homemade in the historic Freighthouse Square now
has over 50 different local, handmade vendors.
Tacoma, WA June 19, 2012: Samantha Camp – Owner, Operator and Goddess of
Soap for Pip & Lola’s Everything Homemade – is thrilled to announce that
Pip & Lola’s Everything Homemade now has over 50 different local,
handmade vendors
The storefront , which has been open at Freighthouse Square since July,
2012, began with a dozen vendors and now has just shy of 60 handmade
artisans with new crafters frequently approaching the shop about joining.
“I must talk to at least a dozen new crafters every week who are
thinking about coming on board,” Camp says.
The current procedure for a crafter joining is pretty simple. There is a
form, a $50 buy-in and then there are three different “tiers” from which
crafters can choose that best meets their needs. Most of the vendors go
with the 70/30 split but there is also an option for an 80/20 split for
crafters who have time to help out in the shop. “We try to make it make
sense for the vendors,” Camp says.
Currently, there are knit and crochet items, pottery, jewelry, wood
turnings, stained and fused glass, BBQ rubs, chain mail jewelry and
accessories, candles, young girls’ dresses and skirts, synthetic hair
pieces, blankets, paintings, cards, hand spun yarn plus, of course, the
SOAP and a whole lot more. There are also opportunities for taking or
teaching craft classes in the store.
Hours of operation are Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and
Sundays 12 – 5 p.m.
