In response to Capt. Al's last post: Stick to your guns, if you are wounded
I'll be in the bunker too with many more supporters of the added advantage of
ENS. I have enjoyed 20 plus years of boating and follow all the tried and
true teachings of piloting with paper charts and I would never abandon the
practice. However, ENS offers an added layer of useful information in "real
time" and for me it's lots of fun to follow. It has added another dimension
to my cruising life.
IMHO, it is definitely not "electronic junk". So keep on duckin' Al , it
ain't over yet!

I agree with you Russ, the original post made it sound like you couldn't do
without ENS and would need valium to pick up a paper chart.
