THIS WEEK IN TRI CLUB (January 9-15) and WINTER GFC WEEK 1 ROLL CALL!

"1/23 Let's Go!" continues!  We're a week+ into the new year.  How is your
training coming along?  If you have not yet gotten into gear, great
news!... There are still 51 weeks to go, including 23 days in "1/23 Let's
Go!" so this is a great time to start!

In case you need some incentive...

Gator Fitness Challenge: Today is the start of week 2 of the 13 week winter
Gator Fitness Challenge... Join in and you can earn a weekly
strength/core/flexibility challenge point in as little as 45 minutes per
week!  And the swim/bike/run challenge point can be earned in as little as
2:15 per week!  Which means that in as little as 3 hours per week, so less
than 30 minutes per day, you can earn BOTH weekly challenge points!

New club coming soon!  Now that the Gators Pizza Club has ended, it's time
for another!  We have one in the works, and it will provide some additional
incentive to Gator Done as far as your workouts, so watch for an
announcement coming soon!

And besides all of that we're continuing to offer our full workout program
including 5 swims, 3 cycling opportunities, and a run workout each week
plus our new relationship with the Runegades provides the opportunity to
participate in up to 3 group runs each week! This means that you now have
workout options EVERY day!

Speaking of workouts, we'll cover more about those right after these
reminders...

Get a BK Pint Glass! If you have not yet had a chance to pick up your
special edition "Have fun, Gator Done, then drink a beer!... Coach Brian"
pint glass, there are some opportunities this week (just let me know ahead
of time so that I know to bring one for you). We'll continue to distribute
them to all current members (1/person) until they are gone. Here is where
you can get one...

• Tuesday, 7pm-8:15pm at the spin workout in the SVY cycling studio

2023 Membership Renewal: The renewal period (early December through
January) has passed the midway point. Thanks to all of you that have
already renewed your memberships! An email reminder will be sent to all
others. If you do not plan to renew this year, please send me a message and
we will remove you from our follow-up list. Otherwise, all 2022 memberships
will stay in tact through January; on February 1 we'll update our
databases, including Facebook group, email list, Training Peaks accounts,
and USAT club roster to match our current membership at that time.

Workouts Attendance Poll: To assist with workout planning, please check all
workouts that you plan to attend.

GFC Roll Call!: Last week was the first week of the winter Gator Fitness
Challenge, so it's time for the weekly "Roll Call"! If you completed either
or both of the for week 1 (Monday 1/2-Sunday 1/8), please post a comment...

• "SBR" if you completed the Swim/Bike/Run Challenge (45 minutes of each)
OR...

• "SCF" if you completed the Strength/Core/Flexibility Challenge (45
minutes total of any combination) OR...

• "Both" if you completed both challenges

route coordinated by Don Mack who will NOT be in attendance (but the meetup
will proceed). An invitation has been sent to all Gators Zwifters that are
following Don. If you are not currently in the mix and would like to learn
about Zwift and our meetups, please contact Don.
