The Peninsula Art League's June 25 meeting will feature Tis Huberth, whose demonstration is titled: WATERMEDIA: PAINTING WITH AN ATTITUDE AND WITHOUT A PLAN. Tis says: "If you don't have a plan, you can't make a mistake." This is the premise upon which I do my paintings, which begin with the free-flowing of water and pigment on the paper. At the beginning, my only concern is to remain flexible and open to the design possibilities that may occur. From that point on - I continue with layering colors and texturing the paper surface while developing the composition, until I am satisfied with the overall comclusion. In my demo I will show the layering process and now I manipulate and texture each layer. The meeting is held at Cottesmore of Life Care, 2909 14th Avenue NW, in Gig Harbor from 7-9 p.m. The meeting is free. (Refreshments - Always a Door Prize!)
