Yesterday at 5:20 PM Carl Miolanni & I saw a white morph Gyrfalcon

at Pointe West Golf Course which is just north of the town of
Amherstburg.  The bird was patrolling the drain on the north side of the
clubhouse.  We saw it while at the corner of Golfwood Drive and Fairway
Cresent.  The bird was flying low over the drain affording us good
views.  We were alerted to the bird's presence by a local resident
Brenda McFarlane whose bird feeders had been visited occasionally by a
"big white hawk" for the last month.  She reported that on days when the
bird was seen by her it would visit a few times a day from 8AM onward.
