After having read all the poor publicity that the 100 miles south of Chicago
has gotten, I would never agree to skip over that portion at the expense of
missing Lake Michigan.

If I were going to skip over something it would be the Black Warrior River
above Mobile Bay. There is no part of the Great Loop that is less appealing
from my memory of twice around the Loop.

Each of us have different views, so all parts of the Loop has its fans, but
not necessarily do we all enjoy every mile.
